The Northern Arizona Center for Emerging Technologies
NACET, under the supervision of Dr. Al Poskanzer, now manages NAU’s technology transfer office. NACET is responsible for evaluating submissions from faculty, staff, and students to assess their commercial viability and potential for licensing and patenting.
NACET is a small-business assistance program founded to help entrepreneurs and startups succeed in northern Arizona. The program offers hands-on consulting to high-tech, science, and renewable energy firms.
Perhaps even more importantly, NACET understands the power of matching great ideas with the right resources. It not only links client companies to specialty labs and equipment, intellectual property, and capital resources, but it also create synergies through an extensive network of faculty, staff, interns, and alumni from local academic institutions. In fact, NACET’s work is made possible through collaborative relationships with the City of Flagstaff, the Northern Arizona Council of Governments, Northern Arizona University, and many others in the local business community.
NACET is part of the City of Flagstaff’s new Science & Innovation Park, a collaboration with the U.S. Geological Survey.
